For me these photos evoke the month of october, the need to cocoon, to rest and seek metamorphosis. It was october when Nahuel Desanto juggler, actor and dancer and I made these portraits. I wanted exterior images that would be somber, with high contrast using the lights that the city offered us. Often we don’t find what works in the first attempts. The first images that I had imagined weren’t working. Finally though as we were walking through an underpass Nahuel laid down and started playing with the fallen leaves around him. The heavy bars of side lighting created a almost studio like effect behind him giving these images that we might not have otherwise found.
