Jumping back in time, when I worked as a circus artist aboard a cruise ship touring New Zealand, each port gave us the opportunity of a few hours to debarque and explore before sailing to our next destination. It was midday with the sun at its zenith. Having a camera and two good friends we decided on a impromptu photoshoot. Working with dancers is an intuitive process for me. They have a force of imagination that quickly allows me to situate my camera in a world. As we walked, telling each other travel stories, the dancers and I never stopped laughing, lending a light and euphoric quality to the photos.
